Our primary focus is the country of Afghanistan. Torn apart by war, the Afghan people are in great need of wise and effective leaders.
Afghanistan is the world’s largest producer of opium, and production continues to grow. As the poverty level increases, Afghans are left with few options to feed their families. With the American and other foreign NGOs moving out, there is an increased need for sustainable economic development. Our goal is to help Afghan entrepreneurs create and maintain businesses that will lead Afghanistan out of poverty.
The rise in unemployment in Afghanistan has been opportunistic for Taliban and ISIS recruitment. The average monthly income in Afghanistan is $300/month. The Taliban is offering new recruits $400/month and ISIS is offering recruits $700/month. Many Afghans are left with the option to either starve, or join a terrorist organization. We want to create a third option.
